1. GCash Card

The GCash Card, a reloadable prepaid debit card connected to the user’s GCash wallet, is an exclusive offering for fully verified GCash users. With a cost of ₱185 plus ₱65 for delivery, it provides convenient ATM withdrawal from any BancNet or GCash-affiliated ATMs, ensuring quick access to cash whenever needed.

With GInsure, GCash app users can access affordable and short-term insurance plans. These plans offer cash assistance and coverage for online shopping, travel, dengue, and personal accidents.

4. GFunds

GFunds is the investment marketplace in the GCash app. It lets users buy, sell, and manage diverse investment products. With as little as ₱50, users can access stocks, bonds, and other securities.

This widens investing opportunities and helps grow wealth over time. GFunds provides a risk profile questionnaire to guide informed investment decisions. It matches users with suitable products based on risk tolerance and financial goals.

5. GCrypto

GCrypto is the cryptocurrency exchange feature of the popular GCash app. It offers seamless buying, selling, sending, and receiving of cryptocurrencies.

Users can also access curated NFT collections, owning unique cryptographic assets created by famous artists on the blockchain.

6. GStocks PH

GStocks PH is an exciting feature by GCash in collaboration with AB Capital Securities Inc. (ABCSI). With GStocks PH, GCash users can conveniently buy, sell, and manage stocks of over 280 PSE-listed companies like Globe Telecom, Puregold, SM Prime, and Bank of the Philippine Islands.

It puts the power in your hands, allowing you to make personal transactions and investments from your GCash app.

Final thoughts

If you like convenient, cashless transactions, virtual wallets like GCash are definitely good to have.

Downloading and registering for an account is free, and it only takes just a few minutes.
The requirements to open an account are simple. Upload them and have your GCash account fully verified in minutes.

Most online transactions and fund transfers have no extra charge, (GCash to GCash wallet, PayPal to GCash wallet). Transfers are also completed in real time.

This makes it great for personal use, especially when transacting with small amounts of money, or when you need to make several daily transactions.

But if there’s anything that would discourage you from using this app, it’s that GCash can just crash without notice. When this happens, you cannot log in to the app, or some services will be unavailable.

Also, there are not enough communication channels where you can report issues with the app, or with funds that do not show up in your GCash wallet, for example. But overall, it’s a good app. It saves you a trip to the bank to make withdrawals, deposits, remittances, or fund transfers. It has valuable features encouraging you to save and invest your money.

There are also over 139,000 merchants in the Philippines that accept GCash.
