Apart from speaking engagements, Chinkee Tan has authored five best-selling books on personal finance and hosts the “Chink Positive” podcast, offering insights on becoming financially wealthy and debt-free through saving, budgeting, debt management, and investing.

Tan’s podcast on Spotify has more than 330 episodes as of this writing. I personally listen to it while working out. I like that it’s short, practical, and motivational. In Ep. 259, Tan emphasized the importance of patience in building wealth and exercising delayed gratification whenever one is tempted to splurge or spend on unnecessary things.

Randell Tiongson is a highly respected life and personal finance planner, author, and speaker. He has become one of the country’s most esteemed personal finance coaches, with over 30 years of experience in the financial service industry, including banking, mutual funds, insurance, and financial planning.

He contributes expertise in personal finance through various platforms, such as YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok. He is a writer for the Philippine Daily Inquirer, where his column “Money Matters” has received multiple nominations at the Catholic Mass Media Awards.

Tiongson has a huge following on Facebook. Although his TikTok account isn’t blooming, probably because his audience is less Gen Z, I follow his Facebook page for personal finance and wealth-building inspiration. Here’s one of his recent posts, reminding us that the greatest gift we can give to our family is to be debt-free.

Fitz Villafuerte is a Registered Financial Planner and a financial literacy advocate based in the Philippines. He started his career as a civil engineer and later left the corporate world to pursue entrepreneurship.

He is best known for his personal finance blog, “Ready To Be Rich,” which focuses on business, investments, and personal finance. The blog enjoys high engagement from followers, primarily young Filipino urban professionals.

In one of his articles, I love how we wrote about conducting a year-end financial review. I personally haven’t done this, as usually, I do this at the beginning of the year in retrospect. He gave nine points on how to look at your finances, and I think it’s important to highlight emergency fund evaluation and debt review and reduction.

Usually, we often focus on how to earn more for the upcoming year, but Villafuerte also made a good call to remind us to consider the current financial situation.

Regarding social media presence, Villafuerte is active on platforms like Facebook and TikTok, where he engages with his followers and shares additional financial advice. He also conducts live Q&A sessions on LinkedIn, answering questions about personal finance, business, insurance, and investments.

Carl Dy is a prominent figure in the real estate industry in the Philippines, known for his expertise and contributions as a property guru. He is the President of Spectrum Investments, a company specializing in property portfolio management.

Carl Dy has over a decade of experience in the real estate sector, which has enabled him to gain substantial insights and knowledge that he shares with others interested in property investment via Facebook, YouTube, podcasts, and other social media channels.

I actually stumbled upon Carl Dy on my Facebook feed through his sponsored ad. Given that I’m pretty interested in this area, it’s not surprising that I was one of his target audiences. You’ll find his tips practical and filled with wisdom, combining technical knowledge and real-life examples that will also make you think about how to dive deep into real estate investment.

I’m subscribed to his YouTube channel, and this is one of my favorite videos. He tells you upfront that you shouldn’t buy a property if you don’t have excess money. Nowadays, you can easily buy pre-selling properties even with a 0% downpayment, but there’s wisdom in listening to Carl when he discloses that you’ll pay other fees when you buy real estate.

Rarely will you find a doctor with financial and wealth planning expertise. What I like about her content is that she also educates Filipinos about the value of health and wellness, life insurance, and how to prepare for illnesses.
